There’s no point in owning a PlayStation if you don’t get a PlayStation Plus subscription with it. Once you subscribe, you can play a plethora of games, especially if you get the Premium subscription. The best part is that you can access all of these games as long as you have an active subscription. 

However, keep in mind that there is going to be a lot of downloading and online gaming, so it is best to prepare yourself with a reliable internet connection that fits perfectly for gaming.

Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection

You haven’t had the proper PlayStation experience if you haven’t played the Uncharted series. 

Luckily for you, you can find the first three titles in one title, The Nathan Drake Collection. The first part takes us on Nate’s quest to look for El Dorado, the second game takes us to the lost city of Shambhala, and the third has us searching for the Arabian Iram of the Pillars. 

What’s interesting about Uncharted is that it is packed with action, just like a hybrid between John Wick and Indiana Jones. You have to go through a series of villains, and there are two approaches you can take: You can either face them head-on or you could be stealthy about it. 

The Last of Us Part I

Naughty Dog recently released a remake of the first part of The Last of Us, titled The Last of Us Part I. It finally takes full benefit of the PlayStation 5’s graphical capabilities, and it incorporates a few gameplay details from the original game’s sequel – The Last of Us Part II. 

In the game, you play as Joel Miller, who works as a smuggler after the United States fell prey to the cordyceps epidemic, causing people to turn into mindless zombies. Joel is tasked to smuggle a young girl named Ellie, but he is not told the reason why. 

Once you embark on this journey with Joel and Ellie, you’re in for an emotional rollercoaster. 

Tekken 2

For everyone that has grown up playing the Tekken series, this one serves as the perfect kick of nostalgia. Tekken 2 was the second title that was released by Namco and even today, I can admit that it was the best Tekken game in the franchise. 

While the game lacks the graphics, it’s the nostalgia that you would want to play the game for. The game works via cloud streaming, which is why I will reinforce the idea that you should have a reliable internet connection when you begin streaming Tekken 2. 

Heavy Rain

Jason? JASON? JAAAASON! JAAAAAASON!?

If you’ve heard this, then you probably already know about Heavy Rain. While the game had a serious and tense tone to it, it was that one meme-worthy moment that gave the game its popularity. 

The game is about a father looking for his son, who is kidnapped by the notorious Origami Killer. The mysterious killer kidnaps boys of a certain age at a specific time of the year when it rains. The reason is that he keeps the kids in a storm drain so that they will drown to death. 

The game is definitely the sort that you can’t miss out on, so make sure you have it on your list to play. 

Final Fantasy VII Remake

The 1997 PlayStation 1 classic was remade for the PlayStation 4, and Final Fantasy fans all over the world were stoked! 

You can play the game through PlayStation Plus as it tells you the tale of Cloud Strife, a Shinra ex-SOLDIER who plans on taking down Shinra along with the eco-resistance group called AVALANCHE, including Barret and Tifa. They are later joined by Aerith. 

Now why does AVALANCHE want to take down Shinra Electric Company? 

Because they utilize “Mako”, a material similar to real-life fossil fuels and mako is the essence of the planet. The excessive use of Mako slowly destroys the planet, which is why Cloud and his group must stop Shinra. 

Crisis Core – Final Fantasy VII 

Crisis Core was initially released on the PSP, and it was a huge hit. It revolves around the story of Zack Fair, who is Cloud’s best friend and also a SOLDIER, a member of the elite class. However, it should be noted that Crisis Core takes place before the events of Final Fantasy VII, making it a prequel. 

It also shows all the events that led Cloud to stand up against Shinra, a company he once worked for. The game also emphasizes the bond between Zack and Cloud. It’s better to play the game after you are done playing Final Fantasy VII Remake and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth.
